Embodying the work of coaching is the greatest form of teaching.
That’s exactly what the Mastery in Coaching program makes possible, and why I love facilitating it. It goes beyond simply teaching techniques; it instils a mindset of empathy, active listening, and authentic connection.
I truly believe we have the power to transform not only the lives of those we coach, but also our own.
Co-facilitating the Level 3 program alongside Camilla offers me an invaluable opportunity to deepen my own mastery, refine my presence, and sharpen my ability to model MCC‑level competencies.
In our final session of the last cohort, one of the participants shared that the training had shifted her view of MCC coaching from being like an architect, structured and focused on solving problems, to being more like a gardener. Her closing reflection was beautiful: “Like a gardener, I am learning that my role is not to force the bloom, but to tend to the conditions that allow life to unfold in its own timing.”
Mission accomplished!
Learning as a group, in partnership, provides richness and fresh perspectives that elevate not only our participants’ practice, but ours as facilitators. We see relationships develop that are genuinely supportive and encouraging toward one another.
Throughout the program, our participants demonstrate values of family, safety, trust, love, and compassion.
Near the beginning of our first cohort of 2026, the war with Iran began. Our group was not only multicultural but also stationed around the globe, making it important to create space for people to share their experiences and ask for the support they needed to navigate such a difficult time.
Every participant was honest and willing to be vulnerable, no matter how raw the emotions. We showed up as a support system for one another. It was a powerful demonstration of how we are all much more alike than different. Human beings are human beings, no matter where they live.
One of the key things our participants realise is how nuanced MCC coaching truly is.
They deepen their awareness of the shift from doing coaching to being a coach. At this level, there is a profound trust in the client’s wisdom and a genuine ability to demonstrate partnership, inviting deeper insight rather than directing it.
The MCC journey requires heightened self‑awareness, ongoing reflective practice, and the consistent embodiment of the core competencies.
If you’re considering applying for your MCC, be patient with yourself. This isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon.
Your skills and the demonstration of those skills are, of course, important. And at the MCC level, it's not just knowing the competencies; it’s embodying them.
MCC coaching is simple, clean, and powerful.
No over‑explaining. No over‑questioning. Just the right touch at the right moment. MCC coaches genuinely believe the client is resourceful, creative, and capable. They don’t rush the process.
They allow silence, reflection, and emotional depth.
They know transformation takes time.
They’re always learning, always reflecting, always evolving.
Mastery isn’t a destination – it’s a practice.
Give yourself the time, space, permission and grace to grow into this level of mastery.

Are you ready for the next step in your MCC journey?
Your evolution from PCC to MCC is much more than a professional development tick box: it’s about deepening your presence, trusting your intuition, and nurturing your unique and incomparable coaching style.
On our ICF Level 3 accredited course, you’ll move from knowing how to be a coach to embodying coaching – feeling confident and grounded, transforming coaching techniques into authentic self-expression, and finding ease and freedom within the container of your experience and expertise.
By the end of the program, you will have developed an exceptional level of awareness of yourself as a coach, your unique coaching style, and the strengths you bring to your practice. You will have a clear understanding of what MCC-level coaching looks like, where you currently are in relation to that standard, and what – if anything – you still need to develop before submitting for your MCC credential.
And your journey doesn’t simply end when the program does. If you are not yet ready to submit, we will continue to support you on the road to MCC through regular check-ins and ongoing opportunities for mentoring, supervision and connection.
